Shannon is a emerging artist based in Brisbane, originally from Sunrise Beach, Queensland.
She is interested in expressing the transient emotions we experience in life. She is fascinated by how our emotions can change over time; becoming distorted, fragmented versions of our initial feelings. She endeavors to give tangibility to concepts in our psyche that cannot be expressed through verbal communication.
As a honours graduate of architecture in 2016 at QUT Shannon now dedicates her time to her own arts practice, teaching and sharing her experiences. Shannon is a sessional academic at the Queensland University of Technology teaching Architectural visualisation.
Shannon would like to acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi people as the traditional custodians of the land and water she observes and represents in her arts practice. She recognises and respect their connection to land, water and community. She pays her respects to their Elders; past, present and emerging.
